KOCHI: The IT enabled services are quick to absorb the nuances of the changes in the cyber world, but there are many users and prospective employers of IT who are away from the latest developments in the field. The IT exhibition underway at the Ernakulam Town Hall may be of immense help to them. A three-day exhibition organised by the All Kerala IT Dealers Association was inaugurated on Thursday by City Police Commissioner P. Vijayan. As many as 53 stalls are exhibiting latest equipment and computer accessories. One can pick up the new arrivals or just have a look at the technological advancements. For those visitors who are not computer savvy, it is an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the tools that make a change at the workplace as well as home. The venue has been made a wire-free zone so that all the stalls get internet access in the wireless mode. An employment registration camp is being held as part of the exhibition. Candidates who seek employment in the IT field can register their names here. Their CVs will be forwarded to the prospective employers, said K. Vijayachandra Menon, president of the association. A free service camp for computers and accessories is another service provided at the exhibition venue. Complaints on IT services are being received by the association. The complaints will be taken up with the appropriate authorities, Mr. Menon said. The visitors to the exhibition have an opportunity to win prizes. A lucky dip is being conducted as part of the exhibition.
