Abhijit, Himanshu in lead

MANGALORE: Abhijit Gupta and Himanshu Sharma (6.5 points each) were in the lead after seven rounds in the international chess tournament, organised by Nutan Buddhibal Mandal, Sangli, on Thursday.

They are closely followed by Vishal Sareen, K. Ratnakaran, Shashikant Kutwal, C.S. Gokhale, R.P. Senthilkumaran, Vikramaditya Kamble, Swapnil Dhopade with six points apiece.

Top seeded GM Neelotpal Das and six other players are sharing the third place with 5.5 points each.
