Ranipet BHEL declared as independent unit

VELLORE: The Boiler Auxiliaries Plant (BAP) of the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Ranipet, has been formally declared as an independent unit by Ashok K. Puri, Chairman and Managing Director of BHEL, at a function held at the BAP premises recently. The Ranipet unit, which was started in 1980-81 with an investment of Rs. 32 crore, was hitherto functioning as a part of the mother plant in Tiruchi, said a release from S. Sathyanarayanan, Executive Director of BAP.
