Macau: Strong wind and tough conditions played spoilsport as the day turned out to be a mediocre one for the Indians at the Macau Open on Thursday. The best score from the Indians came from Rahil Gangjee and Digvijay Singh, who posted 73 each for tied 47th place. Uttam Singh Mundy, Arjun Singh and S.S.P. Chowrasia had three-over 74 each for tied 61st place. Marcus Both of Australia took the lead with a round of five-under 67 while Chinese Taipei's Lin Wen-tang made four-under 68. Amandeep Johl, Ashok Kumar, Amritinder Singh and Harinder Gupta shot 75 each, while Shiv Kapur with two triples and a string of bogeys shot a 78 as did Gurbaaz Mann and Jaiveer Virk. The cut is likely to be applied at four-over and the Indians will need to return good cards on the second day to play the weekend rounds.
