Jayalalithaa sanctions relief

CHENNAI : All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Jayalalithaa has sanctioned Rs. one lakh each to nine party workers who died under unnatural circumstances.

While one worker was allegedly murdered, others committed suicide as they were unable to bear the party's defeat in the recent Assembly elections.

Condolences

According to a party press release, Ms. Jayalalithaa, expressing her condolences to the members of bereaved families and appealed to party workers not to take the extreme step of ending their lives.
