Beijing: China has unveiled a robot for the home that can provide services including logging on to the Internet. Liangliang, an argentous robot about 80 cm high, can walk and navigate through obstacles at ease and carry out human instructions. A company affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Sciences developed it. It is expected to provide services in education, entertainment and security and act as a personal assistant. Earlier this week, China unveiled a robot that can inspect extra-high tension power transmission lines.
