KOLLAM: Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalan (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan has said that Left Democratic Front (LDF) leaders have given him an assurance that if the front comes to power, only a nominee of a national party will be made Education Minister. He was talking to presspersons here on Friday. Mr. Natesan said that as a community organisation only the SNDP Yogam had the guts to take a strong stand when it came to supporting a front in the Assembly elections. He said that there was both an LDF and a V.S. Achuthanandan wave in the State. It was because the LDF adopted a line of equidistance approach towards the majority and minority communities that the SNDP Yogam took a stand to support the LDF in the elections, he said.
