TAMBARAM:
Tamil Nadu Pradesh Congress Committee president M. Krishnaswamy on Thursday alleged that Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's indifference resulted in the non-utilisation of Rs. 1,000 crore sanctioned by Finance Minister P. Chidambaram for a scheme to solve Chennai's water problems. Addressing an election meeting here to campaign for S. R. Raja, Tambaram Municipal Chairman and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate for Tambaram Assembly constituency, Mr. Krishnaswamy said though the amount was sanctioned two years ago, the State was yet to come forward with any details.
