Propaganda material for party workers

T. Ramakrishnan

Chennai: Political leaders and platform speakers these days spend most of their time attacking their rivals. While articulating their position, they rarely miss any opportunity to pinpoint how their opponents have failed on one or the other count.

Keeping in mind the requirements of his party and allies, A. Gopanna, Congress leader, has brought out a publication that serves as a propaganda material.

The publication has highlighted the "failure" of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in different areas in the last five years.

The Cauvery dispute, free power supply scheme for farmers and entrance examination issue for professional courses are among the issues covered.

Mr. Gopanna says he has sent the material to about 1,000 leaders and platform speakers belonging to the Democratic Progressive Alliance (that includes the Congress party).

The publication has also been sent to all the 234 candidates fielded by the DPA.
