CHENNAI:
Whether it is the ethnic Ikat cotton or the traditional Patta paintings, you will find it all at the Orissa Handlooms and Handicrafts Fair organised by `Pruthibi', a society from Bhubaneshwar.
Besides these, several other items such as appliqué work, wall hangings, letter packets, garden umbrellas, stone carvings, silver filigree and jewellery are also on display. It is also a good opportunity for the artisans (national award winners) to meet their customers.
Quilts and furnishings, fabrics, dress materials and tapestry materials are some of the other products on display.
A special discount of 20 per cent on handloom items and 10 per cent on handicraft items will be provided.
The exhibition-cum-sale is on till May 10, 2006 at Sankara Hall, T.T.K. Road, Alwarpet from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
