MEANINGFUL INTERACTION: Science writer G.T. Narayan Rao and science teacher Sateesh with children at `Chinnara Mela' in Mysore on Thursday. PHOTO: M.A. SRIRAM
MYSORE: How was the sky formed and what is the area of the sky? ... . These were among the questions posed to the former science editor of Kannada Encyclopaedia G.T. Narayan Rao by the children who participated in the "Chinnara Mela" here on Thursday. Inquisitive about the formation of galaxy, space and other related topics, they shed their inhibitions when they questioned the veteran science writer. Nearly 300 children participated in a lecture during which astronomy was discussed and deliberated for over an hour.
