Inborn Club posts win

NEW DELHI: Inborn Club scored a five-wicket win against Mohan Meakins in the Super Elite Group I match in the DDCA cricket league championship here.

The scores: Super Elite I: Mohan Meakins 197 for five in 35 overs (Abhishek Kapoor 65, Avinash Sharma 48 n.o.) lost to Inborn Club 199 for five in 33.1 overs (Manav Kapoor 46 n.o.).

Elite Division: S. D. Colts 213 for seven in 40 overs (Imran Ali 48, Raj Kapoor 41 n.o.) bt Central Bank of India 177 for eight in 40 overs (Mahesh Rawat 83); Essex Farms 212 for six in 35 overs (Paras Anand 43) lost to Raghuveer Willowers 216 for seven in 34.5 overs (Sumit Rana 56, Monty Chavhan 77).

ONGC in semifinals

Delhi Ranji captain Mithun Manhas cracked a 107-ball 178 (5x6, 23x4) to lay the foundation before Suhail Sharma (four for 40) did the trick as Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) defeated ICL, Haryana, by 185 runs and made it to the semifinals of the 16th all-India Om Nath Sood memorial cricket tournament here.

The scores: ONGC 357 for seven in 40 overs (Mithun Manhas 178, Rizwan Shamshad 64, Gautam Gambhir 59) bt ICL, Haryana, 172 in 24 overs (Sumit Sharma 41, Suhail Sharma four for 40).

Shreyansh shines

Shreyansh Jain's all-round performance (three for 15 and 34 not out) helped Bal Bharti School, Pitampura, beat Brij Vihar School by nine-wickets and earn a place in the quarterfinals of the 5th Bal Bharti inter-school cricket tournament here.

The scores: Brij Vihar School 133 in 29.4 overs (Divyam Kumar 32, Pranav Gupta five for 31, Shreyansh Jain three for 15) lost to Bal Bharti School, Pitampura, 134 for one in 17.4 overs (Raghav Khurana 62 not out, Shreyansh Jain 34 not out).

Tyagi bats well

Delhi under-17 player Anurag Tyagi scored unbeaten 76 to steer R.P. Academy to 48-run win against Bharat National Public School and make it to the quarterfinals of the R. C. Sharma memorial cricket tournament here.

The scores: R. P. Academy 161 for four in 25 overs (Anurag Tyagi 76 not out) bt Bharat National Public School 113 in 24.4 overs (Akshay Sharma 41, Raghav Kakkar five for 13).
