Girl escapes from kidnapper

CHENNAI: A 16-year-old girl from Gudiyatham, Vellore district, managed to escape from her kidnapper who claimed to be in love with her. She was rescued by the Chennai police and restored to her family on Wednesday. . The kidnapper, 20-year-old Kishore had been stalking her for a month, waylaid her and brought her by train to Chennai. The girl broke away from Kishore and was found at 12.30 a.m., sleeping at Chennai Central station. On enquiry, the police learnt of her ordeal. She was sent back to her home by 4.30 p.m. and the case has been transferred to the local police there.
