`Garuda Vahana' at ISKCON leaves devotees spellbound
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE:
The ninth Brahmotsava festival is being held at the International Sri Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) temple here.
The sixth day of the Brahmotsava was celebrated with pomp and splendour on Sunday.
A press release from the temple here on Sunday said as Garuda is the vahana of Lord Vishnu, the idols of the deities were adorned on the "Garuda Vahana." This assumes significance for his devotees as "Garuda Vahana" is said to be the greatest of all vahanas.
The priests decorated the idol of Sri RadhaKrishna with the most dazzling ornaments, including the "Lakshmi Haram." The "Utsava Murthy" was decorated as "Ashta Bhuja Lakshmi Narayana."
