NEW DELHI: The Left parties on Wednesday questioned the rationale of involving the U.S. as an observer in SAARC. In a letter to Prime Minister, CPI(M) general secretary Prakash Karat and his CPI counterpart A.B. Bardhan referred to a report, which said the issue would be discussed at the Foreign Secretaries meeting of SAARC countries.
