Speculation baseless: Vajpayee

NEW DELHI: The former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Tuesday described as "baseless" speculations about the conversations between him and former Bhartiya Janata Party President L.K. Advani on the latter's rath yatra as reported in a section of the media.

In a statement issued here, Mr. Vajpayee said, "I am surprised at the news reported today. The speculations about the conversations between Mr. Advani and me are baseless. I wish all success to the two Bharat Suraksha rath yatras undertaken by Mr. Advani and Mr. Rajnath Singh."
