BANGALORE: Over 85 judges and retired judges of the Karnataka High Court will participate in the golden jubilee celebrations of the High Court on April 7.

President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Governor, T.N. Chaturvedi, three Supreme Court Judges, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister, B.S. Yediyurappa will attend the celebrations.

Giant dais

The dignitaries will share the dais with nearly 80 advocates who have completed 50 years in the legal profession.

A giant dais is being built near the Cubbon statue. Work on putting up the temporary structure has commenced. The huge lawn behind the High Court, where the statue of Cubbon is located, is being spruced up. Registrar-General of the High Court A.S. Pachhapure, along with police officials attached to the High Court police station, surveyed the area.
