Remembering P.C. Ganesan

P.C. Ganesan (78), political commentator and writer, who died on Tuesday, gave up his job as a teacher to become a full time writer. A native of Erode, he wrote 300 books in Tamil and English, covering a variety of subjects including biographies of political leaders and health. He wrote about two dozen novels in Tamil.

G.K. Vasan, Union Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation, recalled that Mr. Ganesan had served as the editor of Navasakthi, which was run by Kamaraj. His death is certainly a loss to the national forces, in the words of Mr. Vasan.
