Letters to the Editor
The article `A protocol of engagement needed' (March 29) has hit the nail on the head by identifying the lack of engagement between the Government and the Opposition. It is time for Prme Minister Manmohan Singh to begin a one-on-one engagement with both the main Opposition BJP and the Left leaders who seem to be moving away from the UPA Government's economic policies, and on our foreign policy vis-à-vis the Americans and on Iran. In the day-to-day functioning of the Government and Parliament, Dr. Singh ought to be more visibly "engaged" with the Opposition.
