Tendulkar undergoes surgery

London : India's star batsman Sachin Tendulkar underwent a successful keyhole operation on his right shoulder to stabilise the joint and to decompress a cyst on Monday, the doctor attending on him, Andrew Wallace, said.

``Sachin Tendulkar underwent arthroscopic [keyhole] surgery to stabilise the shoulder joint and decompress the cyst,'' he said after an hour-long surgery at the Hospital of St. John and St. Elizabeth.

``The surgery proceeded successfully without any complications," Dr. Wallace said in a statement. — PTI
