CHENNAI: Identification of seats allotted to the Congress by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam for the Assembly elections was to the satisfaction of cadres, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president M. Krishnasswamy said here on Thursday. He thanked DMK president M. Karunanidhi for successfully completing the exercise. Referring to protests by a section in the party against the seats given to the party in the city earlier in the day, Mr. Krishnasswamy told newsmen here that the party would not tolerate workers taking to streets to express their dissatisfaction. If they had any grievances, they should air them at a party forum. When reporters pointed out that a group of workers led by an All-India Congress Committee member had burnt an effigy of Congress Working Committee member in-charge of Tamil Nadu, M. Veerappa Moily, he said disciplinary action would be taken if the AICC member had indulged in such action. On party president Sonia Gandhi's resignation, Mr. Krishnasswamy said only members of the Nehru family could make such a "sacrifice."
