MYSORE: The JSS Polytechnic for the Physically Handicapped here will conduct a "Do-it-yourself" technical exhibition here from Friday. A press release said the two-day State-level exhibition will be inaugurated by Higher Education Minister D.H. Shankaramurthy. The objective of the exhibition is to bring students of engineering colleges, polytechnics and schools of art on a common platform and enable them to showcase their skills. The exhibition will also showcase the state-of-the-art techniques in various branches of engineering, and the industry could benefit from the innovative ideas of the institutions, the release added. About 300 projects have been selected from over 70 institutions under various disciplines, including computer science, electrical and electronics, civil, mechanical, art, culture and jewellery technology among others. A technical seminar will also be conducted by the Department of Technical Education during the exhibition and principals of various institutions are expected to participate in it. There will also be a seminar on "Software testing, entrepreneurship development" for the visiting faculty and students and the exhibition and the seminars are open to all.
