LIC South Central Zone's achievement

HYDERABAD: LIC's South Central Zone, headquartered in Hyderabad, announced topping in budget achievement on all five counts — schemes, lives, new business premium in conventional pension and group schemes (P&GS) business, lives under social security schemes and total premium, for 2005-06. Zonal Manager, T. Chattopadhyay, said the absolute volume of lives under P&GS portfolio had gone up from 2.25 lakh in 2001-02 to 13.78 lakh in the current fiscal. New business had grown from Rs. 45.09 crore to Rs. 497 crore, he said.
