Zydus buys stake in Carnation Nutra-analogue

HYDERABAD: Zydus Cadila, which already has a substantial presence in the dietary supplement segment, has announced that it has acquired a 14.96 per cent stake in Carnation Nutra-analogue Foods, manufacturers of Nutralite, India's largest selling margarine with a market share of close to 60 per cent. In a release, the company Chairman and Managing Director, Pankaj R. Patel, said Nutralite margarine was a healthier substitute for butter and while it tasted, felt and looked just like butter, it was free from cholesterol.
