Power shutdown

Several areas will go without power on Friday owing to maintenance work on feeders: Old Venkojipalem, New Venkojipalem and Isakathota; Sitammadhara, Doctors Colony, APSEB Colony, VUDA apartments, Alluri Sitaramaraju Nagar; Thotagaruvu, SIG Nagar, Chinagadili, Adarshanagar, Ravindranagar, Gandhinagar, Sriharinagar and Siddarthanagar.

Ticket-checking drive

A ticket-checking drive was conducted on Thursday between Chipurupalli and Srikakulam Road under the supervision of K.C. Pradhan, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of the Waltair Division of East Coast Railway. As many as 117 persons travelling without ticket and unbooked excess luggage were caught and Rs.18,988 was collected as fine from them.
