Services of special trains extended for three months

BANGALORE: In order to clear the extra rush of passengers the services of train nos. 0202/0201Guwahati-Bangalore city-Guwahati Weekly Express special trains have been extended for a further period of three months from April 2006 as follows:

Train No. 0201 Bangalore City-Guwahati Weekly Special will leave Bangalore city at 11.15 p.m. on Wednesday and arrive in Guwahati at 2.30 p.m. on Saturdays. The extended service from Bangalore city will commence from April 5, and the last service will be on June 28.

In the return direction, the 202 Guwahati-Bangalore city Weekly Special will leave Guwahati at 11.15 p.m. on Sundays and arrive in Bangalore city at 2.05 p.m. on Wednesdays. The extended service from Guwahati will commence on April 2, and the last service will be on June 25. The trains will have a composition of one two-tier AC coach, one three-tier AC coach, 11 three-tier second class sleeper coaches, two general second class coaches, a pantry car and two second class-cum-luggage vans.

Ernakulam-Bangalore Special

The 0641 Ernakulam-Bangalore city Biweekly Special will leave Ernakulam at 5 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and arrive in Bangalore city at 4.15 a.m. the next day.

The first service from Ernakulam will commence on April 3 and the last service will be on June 28. The 0642 Bangalore city-Ernakulam Biweekly Special will leave Bangalore city at 5.15 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and arrive in Ernakulam at 4.30 a.m. the next day.

The first service from Bangalore city will commence on April 4, and the last service will be on June 29.

The trains will have a composition of one two-tier AC coach, two three-tier AC coaches, 12 three-tier second class sleeper coaches, three general second class coaches and two second class-cum-luggage vans.
