CHENNAI: Maruti Suzuki Women Fun Drive had around 100 women drivers assembled for a cross-city treasure hunt. The event started at hotel Le Meridien, where the women were given clues to locate prominent city landmarks. These ranged from the downright puzzling "You might be wondering where we are heading to when you reach the beach and feel yourself holy at the front of the Holy Shrine of Mother Mary. You pray or you smile?" to the simple ones such as a place known as a "city inside a city". Each participant had to pass through specified checkpoints enroute. The event was not a race but a game. Vijayalakshmi, who was placed first, received a gift hamper worth Rs 15,000 from G.P. Chadha, regional manager, Maruti Udyog Ltd. Pooja Mathur came second and received gifts worth Rs 10,000 and Rema, who came third, received a hamper worth Rs 5,000. There were also games for the families who turned up to root for the women.
