THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Youth Welfare Board, in association with C-DIT, is launching a job search web portal, www.keralayouthjob.org, connecting quality job-seekers and consistent recruiters. Briefing mediapersons here about the job search portal, to be launched by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Wednesday, board vice-chairman Martin George said the aim was to provide a platform for quality job-seekers to seek jobs at all levels with leading firms. The portal is open for both Government recruiting boards and private recruiting agencies. Both job-seekers and recruiting companies can register and upload details free of cost. The registration process in the portal is designed in such a way that fake recruiting agencies can be filtered out in the initial process of registration. The portal, which includes comprehensive interview tips and job alerts, is designed in Open source Linux platform.
Information kiosk
The board also plans to set up information kiosks in its district centres where job-seekers can access Internet facility for job search free of cost without depending on private Internet cafés. Minister for Youth Affairs A.P. Anil Kumar will inaugurate the information kiosks.
