Bid to reintroduce IMDT Act by backdoor Order will alienate people of the State PM, CM will be responsible for consequences
Guwahati:
The All-Assam Students' Union (AASU) will launch a fresh agitation from Friday demanding immediate withdrawal of the Foreigners (Tribunals for Assam) Order, 2006 notified by the Centre on February 10. Copies of the notification will be burnt. The cadres will submit memoranda to the President, the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister at the district, sub-divisional and block levels on February 27 and take out a torchlight procession on March 1.
