HYDERABAD: There is good news for lay investors planning investments in equities, mutual funds and IPOs. Investing in stock markets is just a few clicks away. Taking a cue from the stock market boom, the IDBI Capital Market Services Limited, a leading financial services provider, has launched an advanced online portal for providing easy and informed investing experience. The portal - www.idbipaisabuilder.in - is designed such that users can access information about a particular stock, its performance over the past few years and expert opinion on whether to invest. New investors can log on to the portal for investing in equities, mutual funds and IPOs through Paisa Power Classic Account while active investors can opt for Paisa Power Streaming Account. "This is a portal targeting domestic retail investors whose number has gone down significantly over the years because of the risk perception," says IDBI Capital Market Services Managing Director S. Muhnot. The portal would have comprehensive information about more than 4,000 listed companies. According to him, the online trading volume in the country has reached a level of Rs. 700 crores a day. The portal is launched to provide reliable information on companies and markets to tackle perceived risk factor among the younger generation, constituting 57 per cent of the population, with high disposable incomes. "The portal has been launched for people who do not have in-depth knowledge about investments," he said.
Franchisee network
The IDBI Capital Market Services is also planning to establish a strong network of franchisees in different parts of the country to enable people without access to Internet to make their trading through them.
