Call centre employees complain of harassment

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: A group of call centre employees lodged a complaint with the Additional Commissioner of Police Mr. T.K.Rajendran on Saturday stating non-payment of salaries and harassment at work place. The workers had joined the firm in December last year.

However, from the day they joined, they were not being paid salaries, the complaint said. Whenever they approached the managing director for salary or conveyance allowances, he abused them and threatened them with dire consequences, it stated. The employees had initially filed a complaint with the Vadapalani police station.
