Principal sacked

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The Government had dismissed the Principal of Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential School and Junior College of Devarpalli in Visakhapatnam, M. Appa Rao, from service as he was found guilty of misappropriating funds.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), during a surprise check at the school three years ago, found that the Rao was not attending to his duties and allowed deputy wardens to draw extra ration, according to a press release.

Based on the ACB report, the Government ordered for a departmental inquiry in which charges against the principal were proved.
