BJP team leaves for Delhi

Bangalore: A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party leaders from the State, led by Deputy Chief Minister-designate B.S. Yediyurappa, left for New Delhi on Wednesday to seek guidance from top party leaders on the formation of a new government in the State. According to BJP sources here, the party, which planned to induct 18 members in the new Ministry, has decided to nominate only Mr. Yediyurappa, the party's floor leader in the Legislative Assembly for the time being. BJP State unit President Jagadish Shettar, D.H. Shankaramurthy and H.N. Ananth Kumar, MP, who have left for New Delhi, are expected to meet party President Rajnath Singh, former Prime Minister A.B. Vajpayee and L.K. Advani. — UNI
