Weapon as gift for Gadar?
HYDERABAD:
Anyone for gifting a weapon to revolutionary balladeer Gadar? This was the poser to the public from Home Minister K. Jana Reddy when he was asked if the Government would give also give a weapon, along with an arms licence, to Gadar, at a press conference here on Tuesday.
After receiving an arms licence from the Government recently as sought by him for his security, Gadar claimed that he could not afford to buy a weapon. He made a representation to the Government that it could also give him a weapon, along with the licence. He, however, laid down a condition that the weapon could come only as a gift from someone to Gadar. The weapon must go through all tax channels, he said.
