MPs discuss railway works

HYDERABAD: Eleven MPs from areas covered by the Secunderabad and Hyderabad divisions of South Central Railway on Tuesday discussed issues relating to development works.

SCR General Manager D.N. Mathur chaired the meeting, which was attended by MPs of the Congress, TRS, TDP, CPI(M) and CPI. Rupti Dilip Rao Patil Nilangekar, MP from Maharashtra, was also present. They discussed ongoing projects, passenger amenities and train services in the region covered by the divisions, a press release said. Mr Mathur highlighted SCR's performance in the current year, including introduction of seven trains. He explained the plans of the zone on passenger amenities and extension of facilities by the divisions.

Madhu Goud Yaskhi, P.Madhu, T. Madhusudhan Reddy, M. Babu Rao, J. Jayasurya Prakash Reddy, S. Satyanarayana, S. Sudhakar Reddy, M. Jagannadham, Vinod Kumar, Ravindra Naik and R. Chandrasekhar Reddy, all MPs, attended the meeting.
