New executive chairman for Pondy Legal Services Authority

CHENNAI: Justice P. Sathasivam, the third senior most judge in the Madras High Court, has been nominated Executive Chairman of the Union Territory of Pondicherry Legal Services Authority.

According to a notification issued by the territorial administration on January 12, the nomination has been made by the Lieutenant-Governor of Pondicherry in consultation with the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court.

Mr. Justice Sathasivam, who is in the Collegium of Judges along with Chief Justice A.P. Shah and Justice M. Karpagavinayagam, replaces the latter as Executive Chairman of the Legal Services Authority of Pondicherry.
