Panel to forward public hearing minutes
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI
: The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) is to forward the minutes of a public hearing, held in connection with the Tuticorin Port's inner harbour development project, before February 6.
When a writ petition filed by the Tuticorin Port Trust (TPT) seeking a direction in that regard came up for hearing before the First Bench, comprising Chief Justice A.P. Shah and Justice Prabha Sridevan, on Tuesday, Advocate-General N.R. Chandran submitted that steps were being taken to compile the minutes of the public hearing held on September 21, 2005. He said he had advised the TNPCB to convene its Board of Directors meeting and finalise the report. The Bench then posted the matter to February 6.
