Three held, heroin seized

CHENNAI:
Officers of the Narcotics Control Bureau seized 255 gm of heroin from three persons at the Koyambedu bus terminus here on Saturday. The bureau's south zonal Director, Shankar Jiwal, said Segu Naina and Sheikh Ali of Thondi and Basheer Ahmed of Keeranur were intercepted when they were about to leave for Thiruvananthapuram.
The contraband, meant for Male from Thiruvananthapuram, was concealed in 65 capsules wrapped with adhesive tapes and packed in a newspaper. All the three were remanded to judicial custody, Mr. Jiwal said and added that Sheikh Ali was wanted in two similar cases detected by the bureau's south zonal unit last year.
