Maximise clinches Darley Arabian Stakes

Hyderabad: Mr and Mrs Syed Ainuddin Arif, M/s Y. Damodar and N.A.L. Kumar's Maximise (D. Singh up), won the Darley Arabian Stakes, the main event of the races here today.

Fines:

In the Mighty Is Right Plate (Div. II), jockey Sequeira was fined Rs.1,000 for persisting in the use of the whip on the right resulting in his mount getting imbalanced and drifting out in the final stages of the race forcing out Maid Of The Mist (A. Abhinay).

In the Darley Arabian Stakes, jockey Aadesh Kumar (Gold Rush) was fined Rs.1,000 for shifting in at about 700m causing interference to Arrow Of Light (A. Imran Khan).

In the Mighty Is Right Plate (Div. I), jockey Ganesh (Gift A Future) was fined Rs.2,000 for not making any effort to hold position whilst racing in a striking position resulting in his mount losing position from about 1200m and fall back to the rear of the field to finish the course as such.
