Seven killed in accident

Nellore: Seven persons were killed and eight others seriously injured when a jeep hit a container at Nelaballi of D.V. Satram manadal in Nellore district, late on Tuesday night.

The incident occurred when a jeep, on way to Chittoor from Vijayawada, hit a container which was proceeding to Chennai from Haryana. The dead included 3 women, 2 children and the driver. All the injured, who were initially admitted to the Government Hospital, Naidupet, have been shifted to the Ruia Hospital, Tirupati.
