CHENNAI: MphasiS BFL group's consolidated net profit has increased to Rs. 40.84 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 from Rs. 26.86 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2004, an increase of 52 per cent. According to a release, consolidated revenues at Rs. 242.45 crore have increased by 26 per cent over the corresponding quarter in the previous year. The operating profit has increased by 89 per cent to Rs. 42.39 crore. The rise in the operating profit in sequential quarters of Rs. 5.13 crore, represents a growth of 14 per cent. On a sequential quarter-on-quarter basis, revenue has grown by seven per cent. For the nine months ended December 31, 2005, the group recorded revenues of Rs. 689.61 crore, a growth of 23 per cent over the corresponding period last year. The profit also has increased by 23 per cent to Rs. 114.70 crore. Basic EPS for the quarter, after giving effect to the 1:1 bonus allotted in November 2005 was Rs. 2.55. Diluted EPS has grown 51 per cent The BPO business recorded a growth of eight per cent in revenue in sequential quarter at Rs. 76.77 crore.
