Government not involved: Pawar

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Union Food and Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar on Tuesday said the Government was not involved in the tapping of the telephone of Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh. Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the launching of a Dairy and Poultry Venture Capital Fund, Mr. Pawar said he had definite information from the Home Ministry that allegations on involvement about phone tapping were not correct and were unfair.

The NCP chief said he was ready to meet anyone, including Mr. Amar Singh, and discuss the matter.
