Tiger force to fight terrorists

BANGALORE: An exclusive operational unit, "Operation Tiger Force," will be raised to fight terrorists in Karnataka. Chief Minister N. Dharam Singh has agreed in principle to the police proposal, Director-General and Inspector-General B.S. Sial said here on Thursday.

The force would comprise commandos trained by the National Security Guards. Cabinet approval was awaited, Mr. Sial said.
