Charges framed against Telgi, aide

New Delhi: In a major step towards beginning of the trial in the multi-crore fake stamp case, a special court on Monday framed charges against key accused Abdul Karim Telgi and his aide.

"It is pertinent to mention that the offence in question was only a part of larger conspiracy which was allegedly hatched by Telgi in cahoot with various other persons," said S. S. Rathi, Special Metropolitan Magistrate.

The accused again turned over from their earlier stand and informed the court that they do not wish to oppose the farming of charges in a case wherein they allegedly supplied counterfeit stamps worth crores . — PTI
