Three arrested
According to the police, the accused -- Mohammad Mohid, Mohammad Mazhar and Mohammad Naushad -- were arrested near a powerhouse at ITO on Friday night. The police recovered a country-made revolver and knives from them. The police said the gang was also involved in a robbery at Mukherjee Nagar in North-West Delhi a fortnight ago. They had gone to steal the cables of a private telecom company in Nirankari Colony. A security guard saw them and offered resistance. However, the accused tied him up and escaped with the cables. Earlier this year, the gang had also killed a security guard at Anand Vihar in East Delhi when he tried to stop them from stealing cpables. Mazhar and Naushad were members of the gang led by Charsi, the police said.
