NEW DELHI: The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has set up a Committee on Information, Communication and Entertainment to help players in these sectors grow to their full potential. It will be chaired by Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister T.K.A. Nair.

The committee will examine representations made by the Film and Television Producers Guild of India to the Prime Minister pertaining to commercial, legal, fiscal and other aspects of the status of the media and entertainment industry. Copyright and piracy issues will also be addressed; particularly the free downloads on the Internet that has been the bane of the music industry.
