BANGALORE: The Special Court in Bangalore on Thursday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is investigating the multi-crore fake stamp paper case, to include the names of 20 accused in the Madivala case. The agency had some time ago decided to drop the names of these accused from this case. With this order, the CBI now will have to file another charge sheet in the case. Special Judge A.T. Munnoli, in his 158-page order, while citing reasons for including the 20 in the Madivala case, directed the CBI to file a supplementary charge sheet by January 5. The CBI, in its additional charge sheet of April 23, 2005, dropped the charges against 20 accused involved in the Madivala case. While booking, for the first time in the State, the remaining 16 accused under the provisions of KCOCA, the CBI had stated that there was insufficient evidence against others. It had contended that it had evidence against the 20 accused in the Bund Garden, Hauj police station case, in New Delhi and the Industrial Town police station case in Chandigarh. However, Byroji Rao, who was arrested in the Madivala case, had all charges dropped, and if the charge sheet was accepted he would have been acquitted. The persons against whom it had dropped the charges are Byroji Rao, C.S. Balaji, Parvez Telgi, Khalid Ahmed, Jitender Madar, Mohammad Ghouse, Jaheer, Mohammad Ahmed, Deepak, Mansoor, Sajju, Sirajudin, Gopinath, Sanjay, Sohail, Tabrez Telgi, Uday Sawant, Madhukar, and Tukaram. They will now be included in the charge sheet.
