Lalu Prasad's nephew arrested

PATNA: Patna Chief Judicial Magistrate Sushma Sinha on Tuesday remanded Nagendra Rai, nephew of the RJD supremo and Railway Minister, Lalu Prasad, to 14 days' judicial custody till January 3, 2006, following his arrest in connection with three criminal cases.

Non-bailable warrants

Mr. Rai was picked up on Monday with the police claiming that three non-bailable arrest warrants had been pending execution.

This is in connection with cases relating to criminal assault and intimidation.
