Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: A 38-year-old woman has alleged that a Delhi Police constable has been criminally assaulting her for years after promising to marry her.

A case has been registered at the Nand Nagri police station in North-East Delhi.

According to the police, the woman, who lived in a rented accommodation in Nand Nagri, alleged that Constable Rajender, now posted with the fourth battalion of the Delhi Armed Police, had an affair with her for the past eight years on the promise to marry her.

However, he did not keep his promise.
