PATHANAMTHITTA: National Security Adviser M. K. Narayanan has said that the Union Government will provide additional security to Indians working at various sites as part of the ongoing road development project in Afghanistan. Mr. Narayanan was talking to reporters at the Sabarimala Sannidhanam during his pilgrimage to the lord Ayyappa temple on Sunday evening. He said the Afghan Government had also promised foolproof security cover to ensure the safety of Indian workers engaged in various development projects in Afghanistan. When asked about CPI (M) MP T. K. Hamsa's reported criticism of his statement on a suspected Pakistan hand in the killing of the Border Roads Organisation employee Maniappan, Mr. Narayanan said he stuck to what he had said.
